Pre-feedback one-page level design
The below post was originally uploaded to my Project T page (I didn't know we were supposed to have separate project pages for weekly homework and the graded projects). I am uploading it now as the pre-feedback version as-is, so that the entire process is documented on this dedicated Project A project.
Date: 18.03. 2025
Activity:
- Watched the recommended video on one-page designs, read other resources on the topic
- Made a rough draft for the level
- Redrew the draft into a final version with more clarity and precision
Notes:
The process was extremely fun, even though I took a lot of time trying to make everything as proportional to what the end product should be as possible. The level is split into four sections, with keys or power unlocks separating them. The design incorporates horizontal and vertical space, it should be relatively challenging. Attached are both the draft and final versions, they should be of high enough resolution; simply right-click to open in a new tab and zoom in.
Invested hours:
- Learning: 45 mins
- Draft: 1h
- Final version: 2.5h
Outcome:
One-page level design for a platformer level (images attached)
