Activity:  

  • Read and implemented the first two parts of the scripting walkthrough, including custom shooting mechanic and column crumbling

Notes:

The walkthroughs were good and fun, I only had slight issues in understanding how some parts connected to one another (specifically the ScriptableObject part) but that was maybe just me. I already know C# quite well so most of the constructs were familiar and natural, and Unity makes scripting relatively simple; it handles a lot of things.

Invested hours: 

  • Scripting walkthrough part 1: 1.5h
  • Scripting walkthrough part 2: 0.5h

Outcome:

Build of the level with shooting and column mods (attached to this and available for download, available as embedded build until next HW build is up)
